ABOUT GARFIELD FARM
Located on Route 38 in LaFox Illinois, just 5 miles west of Geneva, this farm was originally part of the Timothy Garfield 1840's claim. It went to his third son Edward upon Timothy's death in 1859 and to the Mongerson brothers in the 1930s. Through the support of willing sellers, foundations, government agencies, and hundreds of donors, the Garfield Farm and Tavern Museum was able to purchase it in 2002 to protect most of the original Timothy Garfield farm for perpetuity. See map for additional directions
